Dolls are an amazing art form whether they be painstakingly created using PixelArt or manipulating the tools of computer software to create their masterpieces of beauty.

For so long now the Doller communities have been hidden away from the mainstream and largely ignored, with no proper respect or recognition being given to their work and their incredible talents.

dA wants to celebrate the Dollers and their wonderful Doll creations. We want to build a community of artisans who can teach and learn together in a positive and caring environment. dA wants to show to the world, the exquisite art of the Doll.

In order to achieve this new community, dA have created a brand new category for Dolls. The different styles of creating the Doll will now have specific headings of PixelArt and Tooled Dolls with a third category for Miscellaneous, this one will accommodate dolls that may fall out of the previous two categories.

The new Doll categories will live in the Customization Gallery, I will be the Gallery Director for Dolls as well as PixelArt so even though Dolls will be leaving the Gallery of PixelArt, I will still be with you to help promote and celebrate your new place in the world.

The 'Original Base' means all the work is done entirely by the one artist.

The 'Adopted Base' is for a collaboration between a base made by another artist or base site and a second artist who is creating an artwork over the base.

'Base' is purely for line art dolls or colored bases in the naked state.

Please help me by spreading the word about the change of Category for displaying the Dolls and moving your own dolls into their correct Gallery descriptions. I will be moving as many as I can but any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Any files saved as JPG may ONLY be put into the Miscellaneous category in Dolls. PNG is the best option for saving files in Paint.
